Plantariums are life-giving ecosystems in which seeds rapidly germinate. They contain a nutritive and non-toxic gel created by Globus International in collaboration with NASA scientists. In addition to fostering germination, the colorful gel's transparency makes the seedling and its roots visible throughout the entire early plant-growth process. When the plant reaches the top of its Plantarium, it can be transplanted into the pots provided to further development. There are a number of experiments to create and observe with the Lab such as comparing the germination time of different seeds or the daily growth rate of a plant relative to hours of sunlight. A complete guide is included insuring that the Plantarium Garden Lab is not just fascinating fun, it's also educational.
