Young readers will learn another version of the three R's as they read about Paul's town, where the landfill is so full that an incinerator was built - but no one wants to live near it. To help reduce waste, Paul and his friends learn to reuse by wearing hand-me-downs and passing along toys, to reduce by using less, and to recycle by making new paper from old and by composting. Included are four activities for kids and a section for grown-ups with tips on explaining the three R's in more detail. Ages 8 to 12.
